Didn't think I'd ever buy a Mini but my Turo host on a recent trip, of all people, suggested they are fun cars to work on and flip. I flip cars for fun and also do some overlanding, and it just so happened this one caught my eye at an auction.
It is a 2009 Cooper S, only 83,000 miles, great cosmetic shape, but doesn't start right now. I won it at auction for $1800 (2500 after fees)
I am actually really excited about getting this car up and running and taking it for a spin on the autocross track. My wife is also excited because its not a Land Rover for a change, which I have found a niche for myself with those. Before I got into overlanding with my first Land Rover I fixed, I did a couple autocross seasons with a Miata. I bet this thing will be a fun little rocket compared to the Mazda!
If you want to help me figure out whats wrong with my Mini, I started a thread HERE!
Also, here is a pic of the Mini with my other purchase from that auction day!
