Returning....Again
Hey NAM! My wife and I are not new to MINI or NAM, but we have been away for a long time. For those who were around for MOTD 2010, we were the owners of the LEGO MINI Clubman S. Over the years, we have owned four MINIs, but that was our last one. The timing chain went out in 2012/2013 and we just were not in a place where we could get it fixed or get another one. The years passed and while MINI was always in the back of our minds, we had too much else going on to think about another MINI. Until last weekend.
Our son, who would have been around 5 or 6 when you guys last saw him at MOTD, is now 16 and just got his permit. We decided we wanted to get a manual transmission car to teach him on the side of learning to drive period. My wife started looking at other options, but to make a long story short, she found a great deal on a 2018 Electric Blue Cooper S with a few JCW parts (not 100% sure what they are yet). So, we are in the process of having it shipped to us to start another MINI Motoring adventure. If he is lucky, our son may actually get to drive it at some point.
Anyway, good to be back. I am sure there is lots we have missed and need to learn/relearn, but if I remember this community, it will not take long. Will post pictures of the new ride once we have it.
