Hi guys and thank you for letting me join.
I am John and come from East Anglia in the UK, this is my first Mini, it is a 2007 Cooper R56, I have always wanted one but could never afford one until now. I have had a few cars over the years but this one is my favourite.
I am giving it a good going over and servicing all the usual things that need doing and hopefully when its finished and the pandemic is over I am going to do some European road trips in it with the wife, now the kids have all grown up.
Hobbywise I am heavily into sim racing and do a bit of WW2 flight sims also, but I do love a bit of Strategy gaming and also love Music. For a living I was originally a Mechanical Design Engineer but now I am a freelance web developer and graphic designer.
I am a life long biker and enjoy summers riding out, but I am getting a bit too long in the tooth for it now.
Here are some images of my Mini which I am quite proud of and want to own it for a long time. If it ever goes to the scrapyard I will definitely get another one.
