2011 Mini (R60) Countryman S All4 N-18

Hello all. Thanks for the opportunity to be on the forums. I’ve read a lot of the discussions on many different issues and most have been helpful to do some of these minor repairs. I must say that you all are brave souls to be owning or working on these masterworks from Heck. My daughter wanted this car for her 16th and got this car. Now I’m stuck with the repairs so I have a few questions. Where do I get a program/diagnostics, that can give me dealer information on part numbers and repair procedures for this specific car? I’ve searched the net high and low and I can’t find anything on it. It was a joy when I had to replace the crank sensor behind the transfer case. Took more time finding it than replacing it. And I probably took more parts off than I should have. But I really need a program with repair procedures if anyone has any suggestions. I currently do all the diagnostics and repairs on our heavy equipment so I’m familiar with laptop systems. I spent 12 years in the service as a mechanic and all my life doing mechanics with my grandfather, so I have a little experience with working on cars, semi trucks, dozers, excavation machinery and most domestic vehicles. I do have the Matco Maximus 2.0 for troubleshooting this cars codes and it is very in-depth but lacks the repair procedures and part number breakdowns.

newtis.info will probably be your bestfriend, maybe a bentley manual.

Also add realoem.com for part numbers and cross references.

I actually went to EP catalog and download the 2020 version of parts catalog for BMW, Mini, And Roles Royce, it cost me $50 and is the dealer version of the parts catalogue they use. It’s a very large file. Took hours to download and provides every single part they have for all those vehicles. Well worth the $50 to enter a vin and see dealer access. Now I just need a really well put together repair manual that isn’t three pictures barely able to see with very minimal breakdown of how to do repairs. I can actually get that program from the same place that is the dealer service manual, problem is that it can only run on windows 7 at this time and I don’t trust the sites I’ve looked at that say you can run windows 7 programs on windows 10. To many things to change and no guarantee it will still work. And $450 is a little to much to test the theory. You guys have been awesome and your prompt responses to questions give this forum a 10 star rating in my opinion. Thanks for all the help and look forward to seeing and hearing from more of you. This car is a fun car but damn. All the special tools to work on it is just insane.
