How goes it?
This forum is usually my go-to for questions about my mini.
With all the shenanigans happening, I decided to use this time to take my 2004 R53 apart, and replace gaskets/parts.
Currently putting things back to getting, just waiting for some gaskets/seals, then the engine goes back in. I have been using Mod Mini on youtube as a guide.
Hopefully, when I crank it up for the first time, everything is cherry.
Wish me luck.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck, if mod mini doesnt have it, there are tons, especially for your mini, of info here. Hell i have a gen 2 and i think i could tear a r53 apart just form all of the videos i have watched.
What all are you doing? How many miles?
supercharger service?
i just did the valve cover gasket, plugs, and idler pulley and I’m at 89k. There aren’t any really standout strange noises coming from the car after the idler pulley replacement, so I’m hoping she’s good for a bit.

I took the engine out completely. Mileage is about 170k.
Replaced gaskets/seals for the timing cover, crank, oil filter housing, valve cover, oil pan, head gasket, intake/exhaust manifold.
I put in a 15% CravenSpeed Reduction pulley, and a set of the Vibratecnic mounts.
I'm waiting for some Bosch 380cc injectors, sparkplugs, O2 sensors, and the supercharger fluids (for the service).
I have the m7 intake/strut brace, an Alta exhaust, Bilstein/Eibach kit, and a rear swaybar.

With that many miles, have you taken the supercharger apart yet to see what it looks like? Any oil left in the 2 chambers? Are the PTO gears for the waterpump side ok looking? Such a pain in the A to get to, I would definitely make sure its ok before just draining and adding oil and slapping it back on.
