About to by my 1st MINI; '13 CM S ALL4
Yikes...."buy" not "by"!
I've had several BMW's, a couple Porsches, and love Jeeps. My passion is boating but I enjoy motorcycling as well. I enjoy pretty much anything that moves !!! Exhaust noise is a plus (but not volume for volume-sake, it's more the note/growl/rumble that does it for me); however, I'm not against the performance-minded electric vehicles at all. Pelican Parts has saved my butt more times than I can tell you, and a post there pointed me to here, since I was looking at MINIs.
I have a line on a great priced, high-mileage 2013 CM S ALL4, manual transmission. 175k miles for <$6000 in visually nice shape. Everything works. Nothing sounds or looks bad, or even questionable. I am looking for a fun, year-round commuter vehicle that gets reasonably good gas mileage. The 175k miles doesn't really scare me; should it? Aside: MOST of my vehicles are between 100k-200k!
After breezing through the FAQs, what are the key issues you wished you knew before you knew. And Thanks !!! :D
