New to the Forum!

Hello (insert wave!) - I am new to all of this fun mini building stuff as I just picked up a 2005 MCS that is becoming my new best friend! Yes, I have other, newer minis... an F57 for fun days and an F60 for the Colorado Snow... although it is getting a lift kit now.

I'm joining this forum to learn more about modifying and personalizing the new-to-me R53. I have very little experience building cars, but I am rather mechanically inclined and my budding 13 year old son has enthusiasm for the both of us to get this done. As I am a detailer, I'm not super worried about the looks... I've go that covered. It's the stage 1 tuning that we plan on completing over the next couple of months that I see as a challenge. Any advise through this journey is appreciated.
