Newbie Intro

Greetings,

Name’s Mac. Picked up an ‘06 R53 MCS, Astro Black, about 2-3 months ago. Bought a house in January and decided to congratulate myself with a gift (its the only car that can fit in my garage). Its got some issues but i like a challenge. All in all pretty clean. Needs some paint correction, and a new SC, i believe. Just spent 17 hours detailing (wash, clay bar, compound/polish, wax, etc) it this weekend and recently put drag wheels and indy 500’s on it. Even bigger plans ahead!

My ‘16 Focus ST, Tuxedo Black (i like black), will become my “daily” (luckily i don't commute) and the Mini, a weekend canyon carver. Looking forward to learning and participating on the forums.

Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the forum.

Was there alcohol a factor in the logic development that the purchase of a house warranted a purchase of an extra car?

Whatever works. Sounds like the logic I used to convince my wife that a MINI convertible for me was better than buying a car for the kids.

Nah, no alcohol involved. Never needed any to make poor decisions lol. The wife is still not to keen on the money leaving my wallet but I think she’ll change her mind when my build is closer to finished and we take some trips in it. I better get rid of the beater soon tho (2000 Corolla, our 4th car) before its too late.
