Hello All! Fixing up my Mother's R56...

Hi everyone, my name is Rob.

I myself am a Nissan fanboy, as I own a 1990 240sx with a motor swap and a 1991 Sentra SE-R, but my mother has a 2007 R56 Base model with the N14 and a sport package that she absolutely loves. However it's reaching old age with ~128k miles and needs some help. While the story/issues are far too long to list in this post, I am hoping some of the more experienced Mini techs can point me in the right direction. I hope to talk to many of you in a separate post in the tech section!

Thanks to everyone for their future help!

-Rob

welcome to the forum. I was a Nissan fan back in the day, had a 90 Sentra that I traded in for an 01 Sentra, the 01 was my toy for the longest time, I dump thousands upon thousands into it, my daily driven autox car. Then life gets in the way and a race car isn’t the best thing for a baby seat. Now that she is 14 I wondered into the realm and I might never got back, these things are so fun to drive, but gotta keep up on the maintenance a hell of a lot more than I did on my Sentra.

Welcome to NAM! This site has been around for a while. If you can't find what you need from the search, just start a new thread asking your question, and be patient for the answers to start rolling in.

Just to help out little bit, if her car is NOT a turbo model, the engine is a N12.

One more thing...

This site is a good reference for finding OEM part numbers:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select

And, this site is a good reference for repair procedures:
