Hello all,

My name is Christian and I’m new, like brand new to the Mini community... I gotta say I have always had a soft spot for Hatchbacks as my first car was an 83 VW Rabbit Gti...

I just (12/22/19) purchased my first Mini... it’s an 09 MC base model... I originally purchased this little ride for my daughter as she’s is about to start her driving courses... it has a manual trans and let’s just say that she loves the car... well I’m starting to love the car myself...

let me tell you how we stumbled across this little gem of a car. I was in the market for a daily driver because my Challenger is a gas guzzling, tire shredding, noisy little boat! LoL well I’m a muscle car guy thru and thru... BUT!!!... I have always had a bit of a soft spot for small hatchbacks... and yes the MINI was in my subconscious pecking at my shirt attention span. LoL non the less my daughter (14yo) came with my wife and I to visit a few dealers... I narrowed my choice to about three cars... yet once my daughter saw the MINI she actually asked if I could buy it for her... my daughter has been a straight a student and plays various sports, she never asks for anything and is very humble. Well how could I say no?

we took the MINI home and she’s been getting driving lessons on this little standard go kart. I have to say that I’m starting to fall in love and now I wish I would have gotten the S version... well let’s just say that I may just have to get my own or just get her another one lol .
