Im AceGenuis just recently bought a 2007 Mini Cooper S learning alot about it doing the work mostly myself help with some friends. And Im learning quickly how fun stick is and the maintenance has to be up to date. I hate this car (just a lil bit) but its fun learning everything about it lol.

Welcome. There are 2 reasons why mine is named “My B!tch” 1. She can be a need B sometimes and 2. The wife says it gets more attention than her 😉

Pay close attention to that engine. Lots of info on the N14 engine in the Gen 2 section.
1st time with a clutch: Some hard fast rules for getting the most mileage out the plate and TO bearing.
1. Foot OFF the pedal except when shifting
2. At all stops, shift to neutral and foot OFF the pedal.
3. Do a little research and learn how to rev match when down shifting.

If you decide to do any mods, THE best bang for the buck is a set of KONI Special Active (ex FSD) and a heavier adjustable RSB.
