Hello,
New member here but not new to Mini! Had a 2007 Cooper S and now have a 2018 Countryman SE - love both of them.
If you haven't had a chance to checkout the plugin hybird - you should. We absolutely love it - we have a very short commute (4 miles round trip) M-F and it takes us a 5 weeks to go through a tank of gas.

I was actually thinking an electric plugin/hybrid option would be a good way to sneak my wife into getting a mini... she had a Prius C before and loved the fuel range, and being from Japan is not shy from small cars, so halfway there already...
