Friend: want to go take a look at a Mini Cooper with me?
Me: sure what the hell
an hour later... so i own a Mini Cooper now...
Ha... I wasn't really in the market for a new car but i've always been a fan of Mini's. My 05 is according to Carfax a one owner vehicle that was routinely serviced at Mini of Portland, only 62k on the clock. While not an expert the damage from the crash appeared minimal, the guy that bought it at auction said he replaced the ac condenser and radiator, there's a slight crack in the front bumper but all the body panels line up and it runs great. I found a listing for the auction and it literally looked just as I bought it. Anywho it seems to be fairly loaded for a base Cooper, I can't really think of an option it doesn't have. I've installed projector headlights, polarized convex side mirrors and the 17" wheels. I plan to update the radio to something with bluetooth, add a 19mm rear swaybar, and some Koni FSD shocks at some point. It's such a fun car to drive but I suspect you guys already know that.
Nice find. Looks like black web spoke, very rare. And it has the chrono pacakge. Those blind spot mirrors really help with glare and to see around the corners of the out of sight spots. Have them on my R52.
