Clubman question

Hi all. I just purchased a 2012 R55. It only has 31,000 miles on it so I was pretty psyched about that. Hopefully, it will last me a while.

I've just been getting to know all the features and had one question... The owners manual shows a center armrest between the two front seats. But there is no evidence of it in my car. Was that an optional feature on the R55? It would be kind of nice to have that. Is it possible to get one from somewhere?

Also - How can I tell which engine I have? I saw in other posts that you can use the VIN decoder in the Tools section. I did that and my car info does come up. But I don't see N14, N18, etc. anywhere.

Thanks!
- Eric S.

hello and welcome.

You have an N18 (S) or N16 ( Clubman NON S) engine unless you have a factory JCW model which is an N14 engine.

The center armrest might have been removed. More info here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-question.html

You can use vindecoder to find out more. https://www.mdecoder.com/ just use the last 7 digits.

Thanks! It's a non-S, so an N16. Also confirmed that by checking the sticker on the hood.

Looking forward to many fun miles in my new MINI Cooper!
