Waving to Mini's

Hi all,
Just wanted to say how my drive to a doctors appointment went!
On the way there (over an hour trip), two gen 1 Mini's waved back to me! On the way home I past four more. Two gen1's, I gen 2 and a newer All 4. A wave from one of the gen 1's, A wave back by a gen 2 and none from the other gen 1 and newer one. The sun may have been a factor, and they may not have seen me wave to them, but in truth, "it was a good Mini Wave Day".
I am not sure, if the others would have waved back, had I not waved first, but I would like to think they would! (One waved to me first!)
The Wave is not dead in Southern Oregon!

Nice, i hope Washington is the same. We do a lot of that in the VW/Audi community, hoping to find this in the Mini community!

Nice! I am lucky to see 1 MINI on the way to work, if I do I wave.

I find the wave return rate to be very high on a Saturday when I have the top down and start waving early enough with the arm fully extended through the open window/roof. The wave return rate is near zero in the Monday to Friday commute at 80mph on the highway.

I like waving but I've only driven past them on highways so far so I can't if they wave back (which probably means they never see me). I used to always wave (and get good response) with my RX-8. They got so rare though.

I wave to every one I see in a MINI. Most of them wave. I like to think we are a group of enthusiasts that love our pods.
