New member looking for info on the dredded CVT😣
Mainly in swapping one out to the Getrag 6 speed
Car is a 2005 R50

 

It is sad that Mini was tainted by those crap transmissions. The 6 speed manual is a lot of work, but rewarding in the end!

Mini made a huge mistake, by telling owners the trans fluid was lifetime. It should have been changed every 30,000 miles. The debris (from the metal belt) clog the valve body and the stepper motor and solenoids fail.
