Hi Folks...
My name is John Rickman & Thanks for allowing me in the group. I am also a Member of the "Mini's & Coffee Motor Club of North Georgia". This is my Dream Car... This is The Tail of Grindill's Rally.
My 2015 Mini Countryman helped me Recover from Cancer by giving me the Desire & Stringht to Live for my Love of Cool Cars that I had in My Youth.
It's funny though... I thought that I was the only person in the world that names their cars. Looks like I'm in Good Company though... My Mini is named "Grindill"...
(Old Norse for (“Storm Wind”) !!!
Grindill says Hi Y'all !!!
Even though Grindill's name is Nortic... I'm actually Scottish & German but the Naming of my Mini is Simpler than that and is Quite a Funny Story.
When I bought my Mini it had CUTE-EZY Little Smiley Face Valve Stem Caps on the wheels !!! Well there was NO WAY on God's Green Earth that I was going to drive around town with CUTE-EZY Little Smiley Face Valve Stem Caps on my wheels. So I went to Pep-Boys and found some Wicked Looking $#!+ Eating GRINNING Valve Stem Caps and put them on. So then my wife asked me what I was going to Name my New Mini ??? I looked down at the those Wicked Looking $#!+ Eating GRINS on my new Valve Stem Caps and there was ONLY ONE possible name that seemed to be predestined from the very beginning... and it only took a second to tell her...
GRINDILL !!! Here's Grindill in the Flesh as it were !!!
And this guy actually looks like me... Or so my Wife and her Mother says !!! LOL !!!

Welcome! My wife and I have done some runs with the Minis & Coffee group in the past. You're in with some good people there and they are a pretty active group.
Make sure you plan for MSSD-2019 (Minis Slay the Sleeping Dragon) and/or MOTD-2019 (Minis on the Dragon) as well. From North GA, it's a quick 3-4 hour drive to Fontana Village and immensely fun. Plus, in my humble opinion, nothing beats breaking in a new Mini on the Dragon.
As for Grindill, that 2015 R60 is a GREAT Mini to have. My wife's 2016 R60 has been upgraded a bit to be a little more aggressive and she named her's Tardis, because of course she did. lol
Hi and welcome to the NAM family!
It is a good looking Mini and I know what you mean, as my 06 MCS JCW makes me want to live! I have been a car addict all my life and I have owned many great cars, but for some odd reason, this Mini really calls to me! I drive it daily and every day, brings me a smile!
Congrats on your Mini and survival!
Welcome to the forum. Great looking MINI. Congratulations on your recovery.
Sometimes things like our MINIs are the small unimportant things in life and other times they are huge. It is great to hear that you were able focus on your goal with the help of the MINI to get through the tough times.
