Welcome to the forum. Thank you for sharing the picture. Is there any story behind the bow? A MINI would make one heck of a great gift.
Most of us on this side of the world have never seen a "D" MINI and would appreciate hearing your opinion about it.
Hey, this is a picture from when i got it from the dealer. It seems that all Mini Coopers and BMW 1 Series comes with a bow. Maybe they are used to selling it to girls My wife surely appreciated it .

The fun think about Mini is that engine doesn't matter much
I have bought the D one due to the fact that i check about 20.000 km /year (~12500 miles) and the Diesel made more sense on an overall cost.
The car (although it doesn't have lots of BHP - 116) is extremely fun to drive because the torque is much more generous than the petrol one (in 2nd and 3rd gear you feel like you are flying ).
There is a discomfort point, unfortunately, the Diesel sounds like a tractor Being in 3 pistons it has an unique sound ) that can annoy someone with a fine hearing . No worries, after 3k rpm it sounds like a BMW )) below 3k rpm is ... noisy. Don't worry, though, it does not sound remotely as bad as VAG 3 piston engines (so that's a plus).
