New Mini Owner in Los Angeles area

Just picked up a 2003 Mini Cooper S. about 156,xxx miles on it and I love it so far. Some work needing to be done on it but I look forward getting to know the car. I’ll be using the car as a daily commuter And for fun because who doesn’t love a six speed.

Nice to to meet you all.

Anyone else in the LA area hit me up. I’m up by Santa Clarita

Welcome.
I'm also fairly new (about 5+ months). 2005 JCW, also silver, no sunroof.
I'm in Covina, right in the middle of the 10-605-210-57 freeway circle.

I've been pretty happy with mine...so far.
NOTE...if you want to have more fun, depending on how you drive, the little switch just to the left of center of your toggle switches, hit it once every time you get in the car. It turns off the "traction control" (little light comes on in the center gauge cluster). Much more spirited without the brakes trying to...help you...drive the car.

Good to know! Was just looking under the hood and found what I think to be a suspension stabilizing link just floating around not attached at one end. When I square that away I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!

Congrats and welcome to NAM.

I'm out in Fillmore and drive the 126 to Santa Clarita or out to Oxnard all the time. I heard MINI in Valencia does good work and will install mods as well if you need anything done. Of course I heard this after I ordered mine from Camarillo.
