Hi from the bottom of the world down in NZ, I currently own and race a BMW Motorsport factory prepared r53 Challenge Cup car, 1 of 119 made and only about 18 in NZ. All JCW bits, AP racing brakes, Chrome Molly cage etc etc
We would have loved to hire a MINI on our visit to NZ. We spent 5 weeks motoring both North and South islands except Gentle Annie, absolutely fantastic and loved every minute of it. Now a solid All Blacks fan, got to watch them beat Fiji while we were there.
Also, did the Challenge cars have lighter weight BBS R90 wheels, or are they the same really heavy (24+ lbs.) R90's from production MINI's? There used to be a website with a lot of information on these cars, but it's no longer online.

Jeeze, do you know Letica?... didn’t know it was his till I got the log book. And yes these feel like heavy bbs wheels, never weighed them without rubber
Nice find! Wish we had more cup cars here in the states. Super rare.
Thanks, it’s been a fun car to race over the past few years, but always has its typical Mini issues, waiting on a couple of parts to try and sort a boosting problem
