Second Mini, first time on NAM. 2006 MCS JCW
Hello there!
Just picked up a very nice 2006 MCS JCW with 62k on the clock. It had only 1 owner and was their second car, always taken to the dealership for all service. It has a very complete service record, Although it still needs some new LCA bushings, and perhaps a clutch. The only body damage can be seen in the pic, so i'll keep my eye out for a 2005-06 Chili Red MCS part out so i can pick up a new trunk lid and rear bumper.
This car was optioned perfectly IMO. No sunroof, no NAV system, no Harmon Kardon (going to do a full audio install and the HK system just makes that more complicated), JCW 207hp package factory installed, sport package, no winter package (I've never been a fan of heated seats), oh and steering wheel controls because cruise control is essential for me.
Overall im very happy with the car. But that's not going to stop me from making it even better with some choice mods. I already have some IE fixed camber plates that i need to install and fix the strut tower mushrooming.
For now though i'll be focusing on reliability and longevity. So poly LCA bushings, aluminum coolant tank, all fluids flushed and replaced, spark plugs, i think the air filter was replaced at the service II that was performed 3k miles ago so i doubt that needs replacing.
Here's a very cheesy pic of me with the car and the hat that cam with it.
