I recently joined the MINI family. Meet my 2018 4-door MCS in Thunder Grey. I spent a few weeks reading through NAM while I waited for her to arrive, and I gotta say, the community made me even more excited to be driving a MINI. I’ve already been on a few trips through scenic New England backroads and looking forward to many more.
First week in May---the Dragon (MOTD) and you'll learn to REALLY appreciate twisty roads and your new beautiful ride. Welcome,,,lots of good people and information here.
Pretty much any of the backroads north of Boston…. 133 out towards Gloucester is nice; 113 heading west towards Pepperell is okay. There are hidden gems everywhere: not too long ago I stumbled across a nice short, twisty stretch in Tyngsborough (Norris Road, I think, between Dracut Road and 3A) on a drive from Haverhill to Nashua.
My all-time favorite discovery was a midnight drive between Bartlett, NH, and Lincoln, NH. The last stretch was along the Kancamangus — always a winner — but before that was an *amazing* 9-mile bit (Albany Ave/Bear Notch Road) over the mountain between routes 302 and 112 — especially enjoyable at that hour of the night with no traffic.
