Hi Everybody

My name is Bob and I live in the San Francisco area. I've been reading the forum since the middle of September last year, when I became interested in purchasing a car to replace my aging 14-yr old X3.

First, my thanks to the members that post regularly. There is a wealth of knowledge here... I found it very helpful in making a decision about which car to buy. I've finally registered so that I can try to return the generosity of members with information I have when relevant. I'll probably be "found" most often in the F60 forum and I have some info to post now about mis-behaving tailgates.

I now have a 3-week old 2018 CM JCW that I ordered on 2 Oct. It was built on 14 Nov and I picked it up on 20 Dec, It's geting a lot of use in the Bay Area... already out of the break-in period. It's been running well (abt 29 mpg on the road), and as you all know it's a lot of fun to drive. The car is pretty much fully loaded with a sport transmission (but not with ACC). I'll post a photo and also for fun a GIF of the RoRo my car was on coming through the Panama Canal below...I hope the animation works (it only repeats one time).

Cheers,
-Bob

Welcome to NAM.

Any MINI is a good handling car, add the JCW into the mix and you have a great car.
