Just purchased a 2006 MCS back in August. I got it with 77k miles and I am the second owner. Car was bone stock and had all service records from the dealership. The first owner took really good care of it.
After purchasing it, I did preventative maintenances right away and some mods. Put a 15% Craven Speed pulley, colder plugs, Alta tension stopper, k&n intake (due to California smog), miltek catback exhaust, lowering springs, helix rear control arms, and few cosmetics stuff.
This is my 3rd car. Owned a Sentra Spec V and G35s Sedan before this, but this is my favorite car so far!

Welcome to NAM, an enlightened group that recognize the MINI as a well handling automobile directly from the dealer's lot. Make a few modifications and the car can be like a "rat on acid".

You may consider replacing the front tow hook with a Cravenspeed license plate holder. California has a unforgiving Front & Rear license plate law.
