New owner 2013 R58 Coupe S. Winter Windows

Just wanted to say hi and that I freaking love this car. I have wanted one for a while now and when i saw this red and black beauty I fell in love. Cheers and Motor on...

Oh BTW... I live in Minnesota. Any winter advice from fellow travelers? I have heard a few horror stories about windows freezing up in the coupes. Any advice would be wonderful! I have some dry silicone lubricant on the way (3M). Very nervous about frozen windows...

Welcome! Post some pics.

When I lived in New Hampshire, in the winter I left my nice car parked and drove a beater Toyota that I bought for $150. Of course the nice car was a complete handful to drive in the snow, and the Toyota with a $50 set of re-tread snows - well, I didn't care. I learned how to drift in that car, and sold it for $125 when I moved.

So since you asked for advice... even though front wheel drive is a big help in winter, park the MINI and get a beater car for when the weather and roads are bad. Maybe a cheap Subaru (avoid the 3rd gen ones though... ask me how I know.)

Enjoy the MINI!

Hi and welcome to the NAM family!
It is a great looking Mini S and I am sure you will love it!
Thanks for sharing a few pics!
You'll need winter and summer tires, to gwt the most out of your Mini. A spare set of wheels is a big plus!

Welcome, Nice R58. I have not had my R58 JCW windows freeze up.
