Hi all, new R57 S owner here

Ho everyone, im new to the mini community but have always wanted one so i just bought a 2011 R57 S convertible and am so far loving it.

I hope to be of some help here as well since ive been building hotrods for quite (obviously gonna be an adjustment period tho lol).

so far i think the single biggest thing i don’t understand about this car is why theres a “guage” on the dash for to tell me how long ive had the top down but no oil pressure, temp or boost guages? Lol

Hi and welcome to NAM!

Yeah the lack of useful gauges has a lot of us scratching our heads. Fortunately there are solutions, check out the Gen2 forums and How To section for options. Scangauge if you want to go electronic, or Craven/Marshall (among others) if you want old school dedicated gauges.

Most of all, enjoy your new ride!

Welcome

Oh gotta love the MINI gimmick of the top down gauge but no real gauges.

We just put a scangauge in as the idiot lights in the car only tell you when it's too late.
