Hi to everyone! I'm a newbie to minis but have a gear head since birth. I recently just a acquired a 05 mini cooper S (Auto) and planing to use it more as track day car but i would still want to drive on the streets from time to time. I am now going thru a automatic manual gear box swap. I have to say that reading the post on the forum excites me on the challenges I'm about to face. cheers to everyone!!

I am reading your post and see auto and racing, something that just does not go together IMO. I keep reading and see auto/manual swap.

It will be interesting to hear, and hopefully see via some pictures, about your progress.

 

I bought the car last week for $1,500 the is nice and straight the only problem was the transmission wont shift to 4th gear ... that's why the Low price.. I have already acquired 80% of the parts needed for the swap also some upgrade goodies just waiting for them to arrive. I will be posting of the progress of the build. thanks!!
