Hello from Scotland.

Hello to all!

My first post on Nam….

….but not my first Mini. Currently running an ‘07 R56 MCS, previously had a couple of R53’s and a string of BMW’s before that. I like to maintain, upgrade and retrofit and although I don’t cruise forums very often I do like to drive my Mini. Hopefully I'll make it into 2nd gear and over time I’ll be able to make a contribution to the community on this side of the pond. In the mean time I’ll say hello and look forward to engaging with you all.

Russell

Welcome to NAM from this side of the Pond.

Got some pictures? And we will not hold that steering wheel on the wrong side against you.

Thanks!

Technically over here the steering wheel is on the ‘right’ side of the car. So with right being opposite of left, does that mean the left is the technically the ‘wrong’ side of the car…....?

I’ll dig out a couple of pics. Although it really is the most boring of boring Minis, black, with a black roof, and black mirrors. Oh, and black lounge interior too, with black headlining. You can probably tell from that combo it lives in a climate that unfortunately is neither warm, or sunny.

Ah but then our right hand is on the stick shift, other than handling the 2nd most enjoyable part of driving a MINI.

Welcome! I love Scotland. I spent three years in Holy Loch back in the 80s and have been back twice in the last two years. I couldn't find a Mini to rent either time, but had a great time anyway! Where in Scotland?

Hi and welcome to the NAM family, Russell!
We always like to see a Mini and on this side of the pond Triple black is not considered boring!
Post up some pics, when you get a chance!
