I think I neglected to make an intro post. I have been a forum member for awhile but it has been years since I have hopped on. We just purchased our second mini cooper (R-55) 2013 clubman s in chili red with black roof, black mirrors and black trim.

I still have my 05 green mini cooper (with white roof and white mirrors) and I am not sure i will be able to part with it though it will need some transmission work which I understand is crazy expensive.

Anyways this is my hello post. I posted separately about stripe advice.

I want to personalize my new mini but need info on where to buy stripes. :-)

Welcome to NAM (officially haha!) Check out mightystripes.com. We got our stripes for our R53 there. They do custom work too so be sure to shoot them a message and they might be able to get you what you want. If you need anything else please be sure to let me know.

 

Thanks Pelican Parts! Checking it out now! My husband is now talking about doing installation himself after I got multiple quotes of over $700 just for installation. Did you put your own stripes on or did you pay to have it done. I was a little shocked at how much installation costs but it seems to be a lengthy job so it is just an hourly service cost.

 

We installed them ourselves on our R53. We have a DIY under "DIY Help" in my signature. That goes over just the hood stripes on the R53, but it can give you an idea of what it'll take to get whatever graphic you get put onto your MINI. Might also help you guys install it yourselves. Good luck!
