New 09 MCS owner...
Hi gang!
I just wanted to check in and say hello and introduce myself. My name is Tom and I'm from Central Massachusetts. I just bought my first Mini, an 09 "S" model with just over 100K on the clock. She's in great shape and I'm looking forward to being bitten by the mod bug.First things first though, I want to go through it and do the spark plugs and regular tune up stuff just to make sure it's been done.
While I'm new here I'm no noob to forums. I used to be a prominent member of some of the Ducati forums with several award winning custom builds to my credit. I'm also an seasoned vet in custom audio but I haven't worked in that field in about 10 years or so but am very competent in custom fiberglass and fabrication. I will be updating the audio in this vehicle and most likely will be just doing a new OEM head unit with Nav/Bluetooth etc. I will need to do some research and see what is "plug and play" compatible and then build the rest of the system from there. I really want it to have that "factory" look.
Anyway, I look forward to being a member of the community and I will definitely be sharing the progress as it goes along.
The attached photo is what she looked like when I saw her at the dealership.

Keep an eye out on the Oil Line to the turbo. They tend to fail at the fittings. Also it will likely need new Lower Control Arm bushings at some point if they have not been replaced already.
