Hi From Socal

2009 Clubman S Automatic. 140k

purchased it cheap for my wife.
bought it with the chain rattling and maf code.

in the last month, i have
Cleaned MAF
and put in new tensioner.

ran good for a week
found out oil filter housing was leaking

then it threw a Misfire 1,2,3,4 random and air leak down throttle.
Changed out oil filter and cooler gasket as well as the valve cover and
rear hose from valve cover to throttle body. took off intake manifold and cleaned out throttle body and also cleaned out the valves.

had it diagnosed at shop as cam timing being off 5 degrees
and also the variable solenoid being bad

then a day later threw a code and had the turbo lines replaced.

then a day later, car was sitting in a puddle of coolant
so changed the thermostat, and one of the hoses.
(but color coded plugs got me all messed up and threw codes all over the place)
finally figured out from old pics where the correct plugs go.

all this in 2 months,
this forum helped me tackle more than half the projects

thanks!

Welcome Sorry you've had to do so much, but the drive is worth it.

Lots of work in a short period of time. Maybe now you'll have it all sorted out. Don't forget to post up some pictures of your Clubman for all of us to see!
