I just bought a 2013 Countryman (base model) for what I think is an amazing price. It is in very good condition but does need a few items fixed. I got it for $8800 Cdn but it will need brakes all around and new tires. The car was on a dealer wholesale lot and has high mileage for the year, 162,000 kn (100,000 miles). Being in the Halifax area, my main consideration for this purchase was rust. I wasn't really considering a Mini, but I couldn't pass this one up. There is not a spec of rust anywhere. I am coming off a FJ Cruiser so the smaller size may take getting used to. This is my first Mini, but I have owned several BMWs in the past. I do all my own wrenching so I can keep costs down. I am looking forward to removing nuts and bolts without snapping them. Here is the vin if anyone is interested, WMWZB3C53DWM31359 . I haven't run a report but everything looks fine.

Well, I did the brakes and tires and easily made it through the provincial safety inspection so I am officially on the road. The reason the brakes were squealing was that the inner pad on the right wheel wheel was on backwards. The steel backing plate was grinding right into the rotor. Other than that the car is in unbelievably great condition. It feels like a brand new car. I am looking forward to having many years of happy motoring.
Welcome to NAM! That's definitely a change up from an FJ. Congratulations on the purchase of your new-to-you R60. Here is where you can get info about it and what options it came with: http://bimmer.work/. If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to let me know!
