After waiting and watching (for months) I finally found the R56s I was looking for last week.
I flew down to Miami from Atlanta and picked up a '13 MCS in Eclipse Grey Metallic with only 30,500mi for $12680 (list). Drove her home same day and had a blast for 700+ miles. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my back didn't hurt the next day even though it doesn't have the lumbar adjustment.
I'll have to get pics in later, after that many miles she's got some bugs in her teeth. I'm posting the VIN in case anyone wants to look it up on www.bmwvin.com.
MiniKar, any suggestions for the tire repair kit? The Bridgestone RFTs haven't been bad yet but I drive newly paved roads mostly. May be able to trade them in for a better set of oversized (205/45) tires.
Yeah, I wanted the auto (bad knees, really) but that adds weight so the offset was the hardtop. Plus I don't have to deal with leaky seals and no headroom. =)
Hi and welcome to nam, ALTR56S.
There is a good payoff for us when we wait for what exactly we want! Congrats.
Good looking ride! They are never perfect, as it is your job to make it that way!
ATLR56s,
I ditched my run flats and went to Continental DWS tires. I also bought a small air compressor that plugs into the Mini's power outlet and a bottle of green Slime.
