Six Months of Mini later...
Hello everyone! It's been 6 months or so since I got accidentally launched into ownership of a MINI Cooper, and after trying to understand things on my own, I figured I would stop in here for information!
I owned a Ford Ranger for 6 years when its engine finally died on me. With no easy fix in sight, I decided to expedite my search for a new car. Looking for something sporty and compact, but with enough room to handle the requirements of my job... and of course, something fun that I could enjoy driving for the remainder of my ownership. I settled on the 'hatchback' style, and after a ton of searching, I ended up outside a MINI Dealer.
I couldn't afford much of what I had been thinking about, but they had a used 2011 Clubman in red and silver that was affordable, 35k miles, still had some maintenance warranty on it, and had my other requirement: Manual transmission. I learned how to drive it on the way home after getting everything sorted, and here I am, six months later, loving it to death.
But, it was a random circumstance that got me into MINI Coopers, so I hadn't done a ton of research outside of knowing the costs of ownership before I went in, and what to keep an eye on before purchasing one. So I'm here to put in some questions and figure this thing out, because nobody in my area seems to know what to do with such a car!
Thanks for reading!
