Hi fellow Marylanders
I'm on the search for my first mini, looking at a used Mini Cooper S.
What's the power and fuel economy difference between the R53 and R56?
Is it possible to increase the power on the turbo similar to how various pulley's can be used on the supercharger?
Can a limited slip diff be installed on both the R53 and R56 and is it needed if not tracking the car?

There are tons of MINI events. Search on "Central Maryland MINI Motorists". They pretty much have a couple of weekend events a month. I cant throw a rock and not hit a MINI here in Columbia.

 

Really. I never really see any minis in glen Burnie area. Definitely would like to attend some and look around.

 

We have even more in NW DC. They are everywhere!

 

I saw two today in my brief travels. A pepper white convertible and a BRG R53 (possible JCW). I just bought a third 2006 JCW so I will be selling my silver one here eventually

 

I rarely see one in my travels too. I got lucky this morning - R53 from VA right in front of me.
