Hi,
I'm very excited to be getting my classic Vtec mini cooper on Nov. 20th. I'll be flying to Iowa and driving it back to Ohio. Wish me luck!

Welcome to NAM, and congrats! Depending on time (and your level of comfort with the mechanical soundness of your Mini), I might suggest that you get on Google maps and plan a trip home that avoids the interstates. I just returned from a driving tour of the South with two other MINIacs, one that took us on backroads the whole way (save for entry to & exit from cities like Nashville & New Orleans).

Getting out on the road less traveled was a real treat: great curves & twisties, and beautiful scenery you otherwise miss out on from the 4-lane ribbons of asphalt.

if you can afford the time, I highly recommend it.

Happy Motoring!

Thanks! Yes, This is my first, although I've been admiring, drooling, dreaming of owning one for 25 years! Unfortunately, I do not have the time to take the long and winding roads on this trip. I want to get it home quickly before the weather gets nasty. I plan on taking her out on country roads this spring and summer.
