new to a 2003 copperS

I just became the owner of a well used 2003 CopperS and look forward to weekend slalom racing and just a lot of fun playing with the S. I am sure I will be doing a few repairs in the future but it will be a great pastime.

Hi Sherman! Welcom to NAM and the world of MINI motoring! How many miles on yours and have prior owners made any mods that can help with slalom/autocross?

We have some great background info on our site for this very purpose, and recently picked up an 04 MCS. Post some pix when you have a chance!

The MCS is stock, I will spend some time getting used to the car and what it needs for slalom----I have to sort out the class game and what is allowed etc---etc. I raced a 997 Copper back in the 60's.

Awesome, I raced an 850 and a Cooper S in the '70s and won two championships in the Midwest. Of course, the owners of Mini Mania race vintage constantly, and actually have my brothers original MINI. They found mine in Indiana and are currently restoring it!

Where did you race yours?

Are you getting autocorrected or something? It's Cooper man.

Good luck with your slaloms and modding!
