Morning, NAM!

Just signed the papers last night...will pick it up on Saturday. Then it's time to plasti-dip the chrome trim (the previous owner either used something else or did a **** job...) to get the thing lookin' reallllll stealth. Any tips would be great.

Name suggestions? I'm thinkin' Donnie Brasco – the undercover name of one of the best FBI mafia agents. Just cuz' the black on black on black plus the badge delete on the back is sort of undercover too!

Also seeking advice on keeping the car safe in NYC (parked on the street, unfortunately). I've already purchased a pair of BumpShox for some base level, but I'm sure y'all have some good tips out there.

Thanks!

Congrats on the Countryman. Watch the NYC street , it can be very bad on the cars, as people hit them all the time. Try to be on the less congested street if you can, ( if that's possible ) .

You could do the factory blackline and dont have to worry about chips or pealing. There is even a gray version.

No factory belt line trim but people use the 3M stuff and it matches the gloss black of the blackline.

Here some 3M wrap options and the tool kit for the warp is at the bottom.

Nice! Love the black on black for sure. I don't envy you on the NY Streets, I would be nervous all the time!

I am a new MINI owner myself and my youngest child, the only girl, absolutely loves it. My wife is born and raised country and is partial to big V8 trucks, which is OK, but I am trying to get her hooked on MINI as well so we can get a nice 4 door countryman for her to drive! My boys are 17 and 18 and no longer need transportation so our huge Durango can go (but don't tell her I said that...she loves that thing)

Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to NAM, John! I like the name choice for your MINI. Goes well with the black look.

When I lived in NYC or commuted in, I either drove a beater or parked in a garage. No way would I park a nice car on the street unless I was prepared for scratches, dings and dents. I had a brand new car keyed out on the island, you can't win.

Best of luck, hope you enjoy the ride!
