Finally got my mini and joined the forum

Been wanting a Mini since I gave my now ex wife a little British racing Green 2004 model for her birthday way back when. She got it in the divorce, of course.

Finally I had found this little yellow 2003 S model with a neato burrito body kit. It had 147k on it so I got a pretty good deal. Been really happy, and I am expecting to do some maintenance. I already put a new water pump on (that was fun!), redid the rear brakes. Now I have the front wheel bearing grind, so that is next, and will do the front brakes while I am at it.

Love the car, it is quite powerful on the freeway especially, it just pulls and pulls! So...uh I have to kinda control myself a little. So far no tickets.

I have been into English cars since a kid and my brother brought home a Triumph TR250 (which he later rolled on Redwood Road near lake Chabot Ca-google the road(!)), I had a 66 Ford Cortina and finally, I have been auto crossing a Triumph TR7 of all things (glutton for punishment).

I know it is not technically English, but I have a trailer for the real English car I own. Lots of good info on the forum I am looking forward to reading.

Welcome to NAM! Loving the yellow R53 on the stock MINI white wheels. Great combo. We have a member on here with a similar one. If you need a wheel bearing, we have them HERE, and we have front brake items HERE. We also have a lot of great tech articles on our site that can help you with all your repairs. It's just under the "tech info" tab at the top. Enjoy and if you ever need anything please don't hesitate to give me a shout.

Nice painted aero kit on the Luquid Yellow, rare to find them with white S lit wheels . Nice find. Bring it back to life.

Thanks for the welcome;

Yep, got the parts from Pelican (their mini ad has a yellow model in it). When I first began driving it, I didn't realize it was a 6 speed for a couple of weeks, the shifter is aftermarket with no gear diagram. Now I need a new radiator as I ran over some storm debris last week. doh.
