Hello,

I just joined this group because I just bought a black/white roof, Clubman. I only have 24 hours with the car and I am in love with it. Before buying it I considered the Buick Encore and the difference is like between heaven and earth. The Mini does feel like a real luxury car, while the Buick was slow and just cheap, even though both cars start at $25k. I got it with the standard 3 cyl engine, automatic gearbox, rear view camera and adaptive suspension.

Technically, this is not my first Mini. My first car, when I was a teen, was a tropical version of the classic Mini called the Mini Cord in South America. It was made with a fiberglass body, but shared the same engine and components as the 90s Rover Mini.

I was also considering other small luxury cars, like the A3 and the CLA, but the interior was too small for my job. I am a commercial real estate agent and I do have sometimes to fit people in the back. Most of the luxury sub 30k options back space was more than inadequate and even more expensive options was not as great as the Mini. Many people do not think about this, but when you have a sedan, you get an angle in the door frame, which makes you to bow to get in the car. The only way you would not find yourself bowing to get in the back is if you buy an expensive chauffeur made car or a Mini. Also, my dad is 6.3 and 72 years old, and he can sit in the front and the back with ease.
