Hello my names is James and I am a brand new owner of a R53 JCW. I just bought it, I think I got a great deal. I just got it back from BMW Mini they said the only thing wrong with it is drivers side upper strut mount has cracks and lower control arm bushing is going bad. They also said there is a really minor leak from the Valve Cover Gasket. I got it for 8 grand, I love this car.

Since you need control arm bushings go with the powerflex as you'll need need to replace them again.

Welcome to NAM, Jason! Scarlett is beautiful! We have Lemforder strut mounts HERE that are a great OEM supplier replacement option and very cost effective. You may also want to look into the strut tower reinforcement plates HERE while you're at it to help against the towers from mushrooming. The LCA's are common failure points on MINI's and Powerflex are the MINI owners bushings of choice. They not only prolong tire life, improved performance, and provide better handling, but they're also more cost-effective than OEM bushings.
