Hello

My name is Pat Ledford and although I do not have a mini yet I am a British Car enthusiast. I currently have a Triumph TR6 which I have restored and was put on the road last spring. The reason I have joined the NAM is that I love the looks of the new Mini and I need to replace my DD this coming fall and I am seriously considering a Mini. I live north of Pittsburgh PA and there seems to be a strong Mini group in the area. I will probably do both lurking and posting some questions over the next few months to help in my decision.

Probably a 2010 to 2014. I like the Paceman but will more than likely go for the original sedan.

Is there a buyers guide on the net?

For the Cooper, would you be looking at a Cooper S or just a Base Cooper? What about JCW? For the S, R56 Gen 2 I'd go with 2011-2013 N18 engine. The base Coopers don't tend to have as many issues, but the N18 engines have remedied a lot of issues in the earlier 2007-2010 R56 N14 engines. The 2014 is the F56, which is a different platform Gen 3 MINI. I'd recommend driving both platforms to see which will suit you best. For the F56, Jalopnik has a buyers guide HERE that you can check out.

Welcome,

If you visited the PVGP you will see the pittstopmini.org is a strong group. Been a member for many many years. Welcome and hope you can find yourself a new MINI in the burg'.

If you need anything let me know, good buyers guide on the web for Gen 1 MINIs, not too many good ones for Gen 2 2007+.
