Hi, I'm a long-time RAV4 owner ('99) looking to get a new car. The old hoss is sadly ready for the pasture, and the new RAV4s do not inspire. I saw that the MINI Countryman has a lot of the qualities I liked in the old RAV4s (design, compact, AWD) and am thinking about getting one.

Reading the forums, I can see that the folks here are super informed and helpful and was hoping that I could get some guidance. I've been out of the market a long time!

We have an '11 Countryman S and have enjoyed it. Perfect for our needs, although no need for AWD here so can't speak to that.
We are about to give our daughter the Countryman to take to college in the fall and husband is replacing it with the new 4 door Cooper S.
