Hey Y'alll Mike from Chicago here. Owned a 2003 MIni cooper S before now looking at 2008 cooper S. Need to hear some details on the new 08 like pros and cons, anything specific I should look at before I buy

I just picked up a 2012 MINI S with the N18 engine. I steered clear of the 2007 to 2010 N14s due to concerns over timing chains and carbon buildups.
