Hi All,

I'm new to the Mini world and picked up an 08 R56 FJCW in December last year. For some reason Australia managed to get the R56 FJCW in 08 where I think the US got it in 09.

I love the car and I bought it for a steal knowing it needed a bit of TLC. Unfortunately that TLC has extended it's way to an engine rebuild, it sucks, but I still love it for some reason.

I've attached a pic to this post (I think I did it right). Anyway, I hope to be able to gleen a bit of info off this forum and return the knowledge I manage to gain from my own experiences with my Mini over the many years I expect to own it.

Congrats, yea think 08 FJCW was for the UK and Australian market. Whats the last 7 digits of the Vin ? Just curious .

I've already spent a bit of money with you and I'm about to do a rebuild so I'll most likely be hitting you guys up for the parts.

 

BTW ECS you are by far the best so far for getting Euro parts to Australia from the US efficiently and quickly. I've got a VAG car as well and belong to a club, we all buy bit's and pieces off you guys and you have a pretty decent reputation over here.

LOVE those white wheels with the blue! They really make the blue pop. If you are obsessive about keeping it clean, I recommend getting a box of Magic Erasers -- I have a feeling you will need them.
