Greetings from Southern Cal

Just picked up our 2015 MCS, Blazing Red, Sport Auto.

My wife had been hinting for a while, then our son rented a 2013 MC for a week. Well, a week later we were motoring in the Santa Monica Mtns. for a 30 mile cruise to Inn n Out Burger.

Fun car for sure !

Enjoying the new addition so far. Not sure how long I will last with the Good Years that it came with. They have a 340 tread ware rating and what appears to be a soft sidewall design for comfort.

If looking to keep the original 16's looks like the move to make will be to a 205 width to gain a greater tire selection in HP Summer category.

We have met many folks who walk up to the car with a smile on their faces.

Thanks for the welcomes.

Ed

It's funny how MINI rentals/loaners sell you on the car. I mean, some customers will walk in knowing they want a MINI and its just a matter of choices... but in my experience, it hasn't been the dealer test drive that did it, but actual longer term driving that makes the difference. For example, I've had three friends who drove around in my MINI for a day or whatever and then got hooked (all with the R53 first gen admittedly, when the car was less common out here)... and for us, we've purchased 2 out of the 4 MINIs we've gotten, based on long term loaners from our local dealer. I always joked to them that they are setting us up with the car in question as a marketing tool (while our current car would be in service) and sure enough, we'd end up buying that next model after having it for a week.

MINIs sell themselves, but having them for longer than a test drive really does make a difference!

I like the black wheels on and trim on that garnet color (don't know the color name). I haven't seen one like that yet. Congrats.
