New guy here!
New guy here!
Alright so I just signed up for 3 separate Mini forums I found through Google. Need to learn as much about Mini as fast as possible lol
2004 Mini Cooper S (Mk1 R53 I believe?)
Not a bad car to drive. By no means fast but the supercharged model has made me rethink how I view these cars.

O sorry. No. Girlfriend does. From what I have managed to gather thus far it has a 15% SC Pulley and a generic air diverted mounted to the intercooler. Cars lowered and rides like *** lol Told her I'd look into stuff and see what I can do to get it more practical and reliable.

WELCOME new MINIac! Even as the "co-pilot" you're about to get seriously bitten by the bug! You might vey well wind up with your own MINI! Several things:
-It's "MINI" and not "Mini". The second refers to the classic models, the first refers to all new MINIs manufactured since 2002. Yes, your girlfriend's MCS is an R53 (which is how other enthusiasts will refer to her MINI). The R56 and F56 are newer models.
-WAVE at all your brethren MINIacs on the road! Don't be discouraged if some don't wave - they're likely just commuters or might not have seen you two. All enthusiasts wave at each other!
-Convince her to JOIN A LOCAL MINI CLUB!!!! Participate in some of the club runs! Locally, there's Central Maryland MINI Motorists and Hampton Roads Club MINI. Those are free to join and the members are just a bunch of really neat folks. There's also DC Metro MINIs which is likewise a really good club, but to become a member, they do have annual dues. Regionally there's also PhillyMINI (they're fantastic, but also have annual dues) and the Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club in NC. Honestly, they're all fantastic clubs.
-Make the pilgrimage down to "The Dragon" (US 129)!!! One of the most incredible roads in the U.S. There's the annual MINIs on the Dragon (MOTD) event in May which is incredible. The Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club also host the annual MINIs Slay the Sleeping Dragon (MSSD) which is also fantastic!
-you'll both find EVERY MINIac in EVERY club to be very helpful, informative, and supportive. Each one has it's own "personality" so you two can find the one that fits your "style" the best. Even so, all of the club members are really into the simple joy of motoring together on the "twisties" and you'll no doubt experience a real camaraderie amongst them all.
-Her MINI came standard with FRIENDS!! You inherit them!!
Motor on and keep the rubber side down!
