Hey there.
I'm coming in here as an ex-vortexer and this looked like the most active forum around for the Mini. Bought the car last week. Its my first non vw (apart from my '84 chevy pickup) ever. I'm excited to get a fresh start on a vehicle and bring some of my quirkiness to the community. If I can find some, I'll post some photos of my old cars along with one of the new one if you're interested.
Anyway, I'm gonna go search around, I'm looking for some ET advice and such so, yea... I'll be around.

 

Welcome to NAM, foxontherun and congrats on your new MINI. I too was a VW owner for about 15 years, two great Passats and loved driving them. I replaced my 2002 with a "CC" and hated it. I traded that in for my beloved Roadster. Were are the pics?

 

I have never actually driven a CC, but it was on my list of possibilities to test out before I bought my Mini... I have liked most VW's I have driven but there were just none in my price range when I was looking
