The Mini has been on my wish list since seeing Matt Damon rip through the gears in the Bourne Identity. But, I never got around to getting one. However, my wife has been pining for a small convertible for the last few years and is now determined to get a first generation R52. So, we are starting to look around. I bought my toy (BMW E39 M5) a few years ago, so now it is her turn. Looking for a 2008 as it is the last production year for the R52 and it will be a base model, not the S. AND, the missus does not know how to drive stick, so things should be fun. Her job will be to drive the car and have a blast in it. My job will be to regularly participate on this board and keep the car running efficiently.
