Hi guys.

Just got my 2009 Mini Clubman S manual used at 52,000k miles. I Traded my baby for it (2002 Nissan Frontier). So, i did alot of work on that truck and am looking to do some things to the mini as well. Most obviously, the atrocious audio system has to go. I know the stock HU can't be replaced, but i suppose a DSP oughta take care of the (JBL MP-8 I'm thinking). I'll make some help me posts along the way, because honestly this thing is not really set up any way that i'm used to.

With my short rambling done, is there anything i should know about this vehicle? I've read some issues about carbon deposits on the intake valves. Seafoam?

Also, the top of my valve cover is wet with oil. Not spewing, but noticable, and it's all the way around it. Is this a common thing with these engines? Perhaps i can be pointed to a relevent thread about it? I do most of my own work pretty much, and have lots of tools and work at a Toyota dealership, so shop areas are available for this.
